I’m always on the lookout for new workouts in London, so when my friend (and desk mate at work!) recommended Core Collective in Holland Park I was all ears (especially when he showed me a picture of James, our future trainer, on instagram..).
We chose the Velocity class to go to together, and took another friend with us, and all headed there on friday night after work to get a good workout in before the weekend.
Velocity is a mixture of HIIT and circuits, held in a ridiculously nice studio off Kensington High Street. Core Collective also has yoga, spinning and TRX studios so almost every base is covered – if they had a weights class or treadmills it would literally be heaven on earth, but that’s what Barry’s is for I suppose!
At Velocity I finally got to workout with a prowler, which no other gym I’ve been to has had, as well as incorporating a rowing machine into a HIIT circuit which I’d not thought of doing before.
Having two of my favourite people there with me definitely made the class so much fun, and we sat in the cafe upstairs afterwards for an hour chatting about how much we’d loved it and when we’d be back!
I’m trying Kobox next week, but so far, Core Collective could be my favourite workout in the whole city!
